Music lessons that work with how you learn, not against it.
Everyone learns differently, and that’s especially true for students with special educational needs and disabilities. I have experience teaching students with dyslexia, autism, ADHD and anxiety, and I’m always happy to adapt my teaching to whatever helps you, or your child, learn best.
What this can look like in practice:
- Lessons paced around you, with no pressure to move on before you’re ready
- Clear, step by step instructions rather than a lot of information all at once
- Visual aids, written notes and cheat sheets you can look back on
- Flexible session structure, with breaks built in where they’re needed
- A calm, predictable routine each week
- The option to learn online from a familiar, comfortable space, or in person in Bristol
- No judgement, ever. Questions are always welcome, however many times they need asking
For parents and guardians: if you’re booking on behalf of a young person, I’m happy to have a quick chat beforehand, at no charge, about what’s worked well for them in the past, so I can plan lessons around that from day one.
I have a degree in Music Technology and have been teaching for over seven years. I also work actively in the industry, recording and producing bands around Bristol and London, and I’ve taught a huge range of students during that time.
Whatever your experience level, my goal is the same for every student: a safe space to build real skills and real confidence, at a pace that works for you.
